Sending Text Messages

Tap on the Messages app, then tap on the button with a square with a pencil in it (in the upper-right corner of the screen), which brings up the New Message screen. At the top, you type your contact’s name, and as soon as you start to type, it searches for the name in your contacts list. If they’re not in your contacts list, just type in their phone number. Now, tap once in the field above the keyboard, type in your text message, then tap the green Send button.
