We tend to think that it’s just IT equipment and users that cause problems with our systems, connections, and software, but that isn’t always the case. In fact, there are a great many environmental factors, both natural and manmade that can be the root cause of the problems we face.

These are often missed simply because nobody expects an IT problem to be caused by the world around them, but it’s worth examining what types of problems our environment can cause. We might not be able to do much about them, but there are always ways to mitigate against them.
