Towards a Popular Education

 

 

When we began work on the video projects, our aim was to offer a contribution to a discussion about the possible uses of popular entertainment forms by those involved in educational television. But as we developed the work, it seemed to me that the ideas and methods we were exploring were relevant, not simply to the television industry, but to anybody who believes in the urgent need to create new forms of popular education.

The work points in two main directions: first, towards the possible uses of video games: and, secondly towards the uses of the language of popular entertainment.
