It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
7. Direct Imaging to Aged Plates
Real personalization of your digital file comes when you combine your image on the unique plates—adding that last layer. Watching a plate emerge from the printer is captivating as the new creation is revealed. It’s the culmination of the creative process (well, except for finishing and mounting), and almost always surprises me.
While the previous chapter covered the transfer process, here we’ll be doing a direct print to your plate. With this project we’ll work with some of the new desktop printers. For my examples I use Epson models, but there may be others on the market that will work as well, as long as they ...
