In fall 2006, Darlyne Bailey became the founding dean of the newly transformed College of Education and Human Development at the University of Minnesota. In addition, she is serving as assistant to the president in the oversight of two universitywide consortia, focusing on postsecondary education for children, youth, and families in the Twin Cities. With an M.S. degree in psychiatric social work from Columbia University and a Ph.D. degree in organizational behavior from Case University, she most recently served as vice president for academic affairs and dean of Teachers College at Columbia University.
