Coaching models
In this section we will introduce you to, and examine various processes and models that can be used during your coaching. The UK Chartered Institute of Personnel Development report in 2004 confirms that taking a structured rather than a random approach to coaching is more productive. If you are starting out on your coaching journey you will find that using a systematic and structured approach will help you focus, keep track and bring clarity.
All the models and processes shown here are useful and with experience you will be able to draw on all of them and eventually create your own processes and models. Some of the models are perhaps more useful than others and many of them seem to be acronyms – such as ACHIEVE, or PRACTICE ...
