Coaching supervision
As coaching has grown as a contemporary approach to learning and development, so too has the idea of coaching supervision. Professional coaches in business, leadership, sport and the arts have for many years been encouraged to take part in coaching supervision. Typically they would meet with their supervisor or supervisory group for four or five sessions a year. Other helping professions – such as counsellors and psychotherapists – are also very familiar with this technique as part of their quality and developmental process.
