How do people perceive and experience you when you present?
Think about some leaders’ presentations that you have attended in the past – the good and the bad. What do you recall about them? Do you recall specific messages, words and content or do you recall perceptions you had about the person or the feelings you experienced while they presented?
For most people it is a combination of both but, importantly, being on the receiving end of a presentation often gives rise to feelings in you. They might be feelings of confidence in the presenter, belief in their passion and trust in their ability.
