FOR MOST INDIVIDUALS READING THIS BOOK, SELF-ESTEEM IS THE most important issue. When speaking to bright college students at top-tier universities who will be future leaders, I point out that if they fail it will not be because they are not smart enough or well-educated enough to be successful, but almost certainly because of a subconscious self-esteem issue that causes them to act in a self-destructive and/or organizationally destructive manner.
