Chapter 7 Differences between Approaches to Innovation

In the Introduction of this book, I briefly defined what innovation is and painted a shallow picture of the differences between contemporary, what might be called traditional, approaches and efforts toward innovation and efforts of Lean Innovation. In this chapter, the aim is to further elaborate on these differences and how they fit into a greater framework for understanding innovation. Moreover, these distinctions between Lean Innovation and traditional innovation will provide a basis for understanding the benefits of the Lean Innovation Cycle in future chapters.
