The beauty of using LEGO as a creative medium is that it allows you to bring to life anything that your imagination can conjure up. Quite often, however, the subject of a LEGO build is something familiar, perhaps an ordinary house, an iconic landmark, or a scene from your favorite fictional universe. In this chapter, we’ll discuss what’s involved in designing a realistic LEGO replica of a recognizable structure. We’ll focus on the concepts of scale and proportion—concepts integral to art and design that are applicable to LEGO builds as well.
