13.1 Talk about the different generations
If you have a mix of ages in your team, you will understand already that, in some circumstances, the attitudes and behaviours of the younger people may differ from those older team members. Academics have created three very general demographic categories to help managers better understand the differences between the generations and coined the terms, “Baby Boomers”, “Generation X” and “Generation Y”.
