4.6. Adding a Grand Total to a Data Table

Using the Query Builder, you can create columns that contain summary statistics for existing columns. For example, you may want to calculate a grand total over all the rows of data and put the result in a new column. Then you could compute the percent of the total for each row because the one grand total value is repeated for each row in the data.

Here is a sample of the AdResults data which contains the amounts spent on advertising for the Fire and Ice Tours company for both its Seattle and Portland offices.
