The living wage is a central component of (re)distributive justice, serving as a policy lever for addressing low pay. The chapters in this book have provided important new comparative insights from academics and public policy experts and researchers into the operation and outcomes of living wages in a variety of sectors in the UK, Europe, and globally. Part 1 evaluated the living wage in the UK and presented various UK-specific sector studies. Part 2 of the book broadened this out to examine selected international and sectoral living wage developments in the European Union, Nordic countries, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and South East Asia.
