Identify the thesis

In preparing to write this discussion of the speech thesis, I pulled several speeches from my bulging files. In each one, I was able to pick out a single statement that I would call the thesis statement. For example, I looked at a speech I wrote some years ago for a client to deliver to a management conference in Canada. The title of the speech is "Management Challenges of the Future." I found the thesis on page 7:
