Communication

It is best to establish a regular flow of communication with your consultant or consulting team.

You do not need to have formal sit-down meetings, but be sure to communicate openly and directly through any of the following:

•   E-mail

•   Status reports

•   Direct phone conversations

•   Group conference calls

•   The company intranet (posting updates, questions, or issues)

•   Virtual meetings using computer or video technology

•   Live in-person meetings

Managers can’t do everything themselves, so they delegate their authority to people who can accomplish tasks for them. This means more than simply assigning tasks.
