The Importance of Fun in Training

I’m always amazed when participants are surprised and delighted that training is fun. This tells me that there must be a lot of training going on out there that is not fun and in fact is dry and boring and stodgy. There is no rule I know of that says that training has to be dry and boring and stodgy. In fact, making training fun will increase retention and make it energetic, memorable, and just plain buzz-worthy. So make sure not to overlook the critical importance of fun as part of the training.
