once a mediator has collected and analyzed information related to the parties and dispute, and gained a commitment from disputants to mediate, the task that remains before any direct intervention with the parties together is to design a mediation plan. A mediation plan is a sequence of projected procedural steps initiated by the mediator that will assist parties to explore how they can reach common understandings or agreements.
