I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
CREATING A PERSONAL VISION
It is hard to arrive at a destination if you don’t know where you have been and even harder if you don’t know where you are going. Embarking on a mentoring journey requires a sense of the destination and end goal. It will expedite your mentoring relationship and help focus your conversation if you have done the important work of exploring your own destination. The activity of creating a personal vision has proven helpful to mentees who are about to begin a mentoring relationship. Those who craft a personal vision are significantly more effective in their jobs and more likely to achieve their financial and professional goals than those who do not.
