Program effectiveness

If your participants are happy with their mentoring experiences, then why does it matter why mentoring worked or even if the mentoring program will be successful in the future? First, most funders or bosses will want some evidence of program effectiveness if you and others continue to devote resources to it. Second, making a judgment about if your mentoring program was an effective one requires you to answer a few questions.

  • What constituted mentoring in your program?
  • Did everyone have a similar experience?
  • Were the mentoring activities related to your program goals?
