The theory of Homo reciprocans
Abstract
In this chapter we will study the topic of labor supply, and in particular how organizations select workers who are intrinsically interested in the organization's values-based mission. We will thus be considering civil firms or values-based organizations (VBOs). In the second part of the chapter we will further develop one of the characteristic terms of the civil economy: reciprocity. We will illustrate some of the most widely used models in experimental economics today to study reciprocal behaviors.
