THE MINDFUL REFLECTOR

The Reflector is a key supporter of the client’s enhanced awareness of the choices he is making and of their consequences. Well played, the Reflector role can reduce a client’s blind spots and shine a light on his defensive routines. The more firmly a behavior or a defensive routine is entrenched, the more likely it’s protecting something deep and tightly held.
The Reflector helps the client to become more honest with himself. In this role, the coach must be mindful and sensitive, speaking with respect, acceptance, and caring.
