abductive reasoning

A method of reasoning based on the formation and evaluation of hypotheses using the best available information and nonlinear problem solving. A practical, problem-solving application of abductive reasoning is sensemaking.

attunement

A key social skill that enables us to get in sync with a particular world and learn its rules—that is, its customs and practices—in order to switch fluidly between worlds.
