You can clearly see the phoenix from the ashes. Netscape created an entire industry of Internet companies. Without the Netscape effect, there would be no Google, no Twitter, no Facebook.

Innovation requires ongoing destruction. Instead of trying to build indestructible machines that run forever, we should create organizations that foster innovation even after they die.
