What Happens Next? (The NEXTworking Play)
Should we choose to Google networking, we’ll find that an awful lot of the hits returned, relate to advice about networking events.
There’s plenty of information out there about meeting people, engaging in small talk, moving on to an “elevator pitch” and, where necessary, making a swift exit from a conversation.
But focusing solely on the networking event itself might be misguided advice.
After all, while the initial contact is undoubtedly important, surely what happens next is where the real action (and opportunity) happens?
We can call this “NEXTworking.”
