Amidst the transformational shifts impacting the communication function, the foundational role of the chief communication officer (CCO) is more important than ever. As established in the Arthur W. Page Society report, The New CCO: Transforming Enterprises in a Changing World (2016), the CCO has become not only a central actor in leading an enterprise’s stakeholder engagement and reputation management efforts, but also a leader in building corporate character and shaping enterprisewide strategies.
