8. Android Market
The most powerful and fun application on the Nexus One is Android Market, which has a catalog of more than 30,000 applications. It may not be as deep as Apple’s App Store, but Android Market is growing faster and starting to challenge Apple’s dominance in mobile-app distribution.
In addition to being a treasure chest of goodies for Nexus One owners, Android Market has matured into an enticing platform for application developers. Here are some milestones in the number of applications available in the Market:
• March 2009: 2,300
• November 2009: 12,000
• December 2009: 20,000
• March 2010: 30,000
