Introduction to EXPLORING THE OCEAN
In order to draw the world around us, we need to experience the world around us!
Getting out into nature and exploring is the best way to observe nature. Bring your adventure backpack and take field notes everywhere you go.
When exploring the ocean, the best place to start is the beach! There are plants and animals everywhere if you know where to look. During low tide, many animals are left behind to observe in tidepools and can be found by carefully flipping over rocks and moving sand in the pools. Make sure to watch where you step as there is life everywhere in the tidepools.
