LIGHT POSITIONING
I’m pretty sure that light positioning is a topic that could be an entire book. In fact, I’m sure it must be out there somewhere. I’m going to go over some of basics here, but I highly recommend reading some books or taking classes all about how light positioning changes shadows and fall off, and how it shapes a person’s face. It’s an endless rabbit hole of information (but a fun one!). For our purposes, let’s address the thought process behind where you place your lights. Think about what you’re not lighting just as much as what you are lighting.
