Graphical Plan Viewer from Interactive SQL
The Graphical Plan Viewer (GPV) presents a graphical view of the query plan of the current SQL text. The graphical view makes it easier to understand the performance and the statistics. GPV appears as a tab on the Interactive SQL window. Interactive SQL can be started either from Sybase Central or from a command line. Please refer to the Sybase manuals for the details on Interactive SQL.
The following illustrations of the GPV are based on the Unix version of Interactive SQL.
Make sure that $DISPLAY, $SYBASE, and $SYBROOT are set correctly before starting dbisql. To start the dbisql client on Unix:
cd $SYBASE/DBISQL/bindbisql &
