Chapter 14The MDA Tables
The MDA tables were first introduced with the Sybase ASE 12.5.0.3 release. So why, then, do we include this topic in a book designed to highlight the new features of ASE 15? Second, with the release of ASE 15, the opportunity exists to track the usage of semantic partitions from the MDA tables. And lastly, of course, with any migration from one release to another, spotting performance regression as well as tuning the new release optimally are common exercises; MDA tables provide the utilities to accomplish this.
