Mariposa Live-Edge Table
I love wood grain, color, and the natural tones of some woods. Live edge has become so popular, it’s not just for southwest decor or log homes anymore. Here I will show you my Mariposa technique for following the natural wood grain with a color pattern. In this project, I take a slab of kiln-dried white oak, add a zest of color, and embrace the natural tones of the wood. After it dries, I seal it organically, add a few modern hairpin legs, and create an organically modern hall table. This sets the stage to bring nature in its rawest form and the positivity of vibrant colors inside, to greet everyone who enters your home. ...
