We knew that building geographically dispersed teams was important; we also knew we had to build them one brick at a time, so we first focused on strengthening the first- and second-tier leadership teams.
7.2.1. First-Tier Meetings
The senior leadership team (first tier) met four times face to face in FY 2004 at various locations. During the weeklong meetings, the second-tier leaders in the region were invited into the meetings and to evening events to nurture personal connections between the teams.
