As you explore family-friendly work options, you may find that more opportunities exist in professional jobs. That is, positions requiring a higher level of expertise tend to lend themselves better to flexible work. Even within the world of “blue collar” work, the more flexible work options go to more experienced workers or those with stronger skills.
