Clearing rights often involves lots of paper. The more rights you have to clear, the more organized you need to be. This chapter includes organizational tips to help you approach a rights clearance project.
Some producers prepare rights bibles. A rights bible is a per-second (for audio-visual or audio productions) or per page (for printed productions) listing of each item in the production obtained from a third party.
