CHAPTER 3 GETTING STARTED
Being in the right mindset to draw is super important. Not only will it make a noticeable difference in how you approach your work, but the right mood will also affect your work’s quality and creativity. If you’re feeling stressed, anxious, or frustrated, try to find a way to relax a bit before picking up your pen, pencil, or brush. I’ve found that walking away from my work can be one of the best ways to open my creativity. Take a minute to do something radically different to release your creative energy. When you feel more ready to draw, ease into it with some warmups.
