Curves come in all varieties, as you would expect, as they have a free-form flow that is the complete opposite of strictly ordered straight lines. Occasionally, they flow in a way that we find elegant and sinuous, and one of the strange things about them is that people actually like, instinctively, a beautiful curve. They even make some people smile. Without getting into the psychology of curves, they are undoubtedly good to play with in photography, but it means doing something with them in the frame and not just settling for a straightforward shot.
