When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
3. The Patch Tool Becomes Content-Aware
The Patch Tool has been around in Photoshop for many years, and is a very valuable tool for retouching photographs. You can use it to select an area that you want to retouch and then drag that selection to a clean target area; the Patch Tool does the work of blending the lighting, texture, and shading between the source and destination patches. It is a wonderful tool for removing blemishes, fading wrinkles, correcting sensor spots in the sky, and a host of other retouching tasks. All of that functionality is still in Photoshop CS6. What’s new is that the magic of Content-Aware Fill has been added as an optional mode for the Patch Tool, which opens up whole new worlds for the kinds of jobs you can do with ...
