Hiring Other Artists
ENGAGING THE SERVICES OF OTHER ARTISTS
Perhaps you don’t need a partner: you’ve done most of the work yourself and just need a letterer; or perhaps you’re script writer and want to pay an artist to draw your comic book for you. Or perhaps you’re skilled artist, but really need a writer to help you hone your plot.
Either way, you’ve decided to engage an artist to help you with your comic book, and you want to own the results. You don’t need collaborator to work with you, you need an artist (or writer) to work for you . . . which means you may have to start thinking like a publishing company.
