Your brake pedal sinks to the floor.
You are in an old car at the top of a bridge across a large river. Ahead, at the end of a steep descent, is a line of cars at a tollbooth. You push the brake pedal, and nothing happens.
Up until this moment, when you pushed the pedal, your car slowed. Now the pedal is on the floor and your speed is unaffected. You have only seconds to figure out what is wrong and do something about it before you slam into the cars at the tollbooth.
