Here's a sex difference when it comes to taking criticism: Men are much more likely to reject a criticism that is valid whereas women are much more likely to accept criticism that is invalid. I don't know which is worse—rejecting criticism when it is true or accepting it when it is false. Either way, the implication for both sexes is that the criticisms you receive must be evaluated.

Just because criticism can provide you with valuable information for improving yourself and the work that you produce does not mean that you must act on every criticism given to you. After all, it might not be valid; it might not be in your best interest.
