Applying Finishing Touches
Good black-and-white “darkroom” work now done on the computer often requires some additional work beyond simply changing colors to shades of gray. Some parts of the photo might be too bright compared to other areas. Or maybe there is a part of the image that just stays too dark to really be understandable.
I am not going to give full details on how to do this darkroom work – that would be a book itself! I want to give you some ideas on what you might do with your photo. Regardless of how you do your black-and-white adjustments, finish your image with these final adjustments:
