The system includes the functions of a budget and cost processor and the functions of a schedule and resource processor.

Budget and Cost Processor

This processor may be a commercially available project management software application, a custom-built application, or a defined portion of the enterprise’s accounting system. Budget and cost information is identified and stored by EWBS element, by cost element, and by a supplier-identifier. Actual costs and accrued costs will be identified by and stored by work package identifier, cost element, period of performance, and supplier-identifier.
