Chapter 25. Project PBMM Planning and Execution

Almost all executives and managers understand the concept of a project in the form of developing a new product, implementing a reorganization plan, improving a production process, and so on. In the business context of integrating business management with project business management, a project is either all of, or a specific component of, a selected business objective. As with portfolios and programs, a project (specific business objective) is usually accomplished with limited resources, which can include time and funds. The goal of project business management is to produce the desired deliverables that will support the project’s related business objective and program or portfolio.
