Why we need this book
This is a book about one aspect of women’s inequality at work that is not often talked about. This is how women themselves sometimes harm other women at work. Drawing on my research, which includes the lived experiences of women (and some men), I will explore how these toxic behaviours are putting the brakes on gender equality at work and what we can do to address the problem.
I want to be crystal clear that this book is not about berating and blaming women. Nor is it about attacking men. This book isn’t about blame. It’s about being honest, open and not sugar-coating the reality many working women experience.
