CHAPTER 5WORK 3.0: THE INTERNET WORK REVOLUTION
Reflecting on the fast‐paced changes that characterize Work 3.0, the fundamental shifts in the economy, the global generational shifts, and the fact that the majority of working adults have been indoctrinated into the old proven industrial work approach, we begin to comprehend why we're feeling stuck. The gap between our Work 2.0 strategies and the challenges of Work 3.0 has widened too quickly and to bridge it we need to transform our understanding of work.
This transformation starts with re‐evaluating the evolving, human‐centric problems of Work 3.0 and blending this with the latest insights from neuroscience that reveal why we are drawn to specific challenging activities. By identifying the hard tasks that we naturally find enjoyable, we can forge a connection between our true motivators and future job demands. This newfound self‐awareness can guide us to redesign human‐centric work, paving the way toward a career that better harmonizes with our core interests and enhances our work happiness.
