Both are published by Berrett-Koehler (1997). The first book supplies the “how-to” and the second describes the history of Open Space Technology and offers some interpretation.213
2. I am not sure that the case would be any stronger, but for sure my pride of creation would be enhanced, were I to have begun my adventure in Open Space with a consciously stated hypothesis, conditions, and procedures. Truthfully, I just stumbled into it. But that is the nature of a natural experiment, and probably says a great deal about the [f]utility of pride.
