Understanding Standards and Conventions

A key part of the entire system is that all processes in the system play a role in defining the success of the system. For the entire system to function at its best, all subprocesses must share a basic set of definitions and standards. Chapter 7, “Balanced Scorecard,” provides a detailed approach to creating a system of metrics for your organization. The standards and conventions you create and use will determine how successfully you are able to measure and compare different components of the system.
