It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Appendix G A Primer on Basic Film Photography
This appendix is designed for students who need a brief review of basic photography to better understand some of the terms and concepts used throughout this book. In general, this appendix provides a summary of those principles and techniques that relate to film exposure and development. Because the primer is intended to serve only as an aid to learning the Zone System, many important subjects aren’t covered in detail. For a more comprehensive text on basic photography, I recommend the following books:
