So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Work and Project Plan Reviews
A best practice in consulting is to use templates for work and project planning to make the process more efficient. Although each consulting engagement is in some sense unique, the planning elements are essentially the same. Applying standard planning templates, consultants can then devote time to carefully discussing and scrutinizing the logical sequence of what needs to done, by what time, and by whom, within the consulting firm and with members of the consulting team. As such, these plans serve as excellent tools to help build a team’s understanding and commitment to the consulting engagement before discussing (and negotiating) the work with the client.
